Getting Lean
USS is transforming our manufacturing operations and processes into a competitive lean enterprise. Currently, USS is undergoing a four stage approach of assessment, solution design, implementation, and continuous improvement. This program will enable lean manufacturing and continuous business process improvement using tools ranging from value stream mapping, to 5S, Kanban, Kaizan, and Six Sigma methodologies. The end result will improve cost, quality, delivery, and ensure an agile and competitive lean enterprise.

Sustainable Precision Green Manufacturing
- USS will partner with DoD to demonstrate via process and prototype development alternative and greener lightweight materials for enhanced cost effectiveness, survivability, and sustainability.
