Marking

To ensure uniform marking and tracebility, USS follows commercial and military standards complying with MIL-STD-129P and MIL-STD-130N. USS provides simple part marking through instructive details and graphics utilizing silk-screening, stenciling, stamping, and engraving technologies.

For enhanced identification and tracking, USS offers Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) and Unique Identification (UID) tags and labels. For essential accuracy, USS utilizes integrated solution software for UID, RFID, and WAWF compliance.

Packaging

Following standard commercial and military practices, USS complies with MIL-STD-2073-1 and international ISPM Number 15 Guidelines for Wood Packaging Material (WPM). USS’s packaging department performs typical methods of preservation and packaging that include cleaning and drying processes, preservation materials and application, cushioning, unit and intermediate packing, military marking and labeling, outer packing, palletized and unitized loads, containerization, blocking and bracing.

Inventory Management

USS is an adaptive company that adjusts production, supply chain, and warehoused goods to meet customer demand. The USS MRP system is centralized and integrated software that assists in the tracking and management of inventory.  Furthermore, USS practices Kanban methods which will be further sustained through our lean enterprise transformation.

Delivery

USS maintains a fleet of vehicles including 16’-24’ box trucks and vans to service the Tri-state Area, New England, and Middle Atlantic.  Delivery via USS fleet of vehicles results in damage free parts, on-time delivery, and rapid response support. Options include daily delivery through drop shipments. For nationwide and international shipments, USS utilizes reputable Common Carriers.
